Welcome to My World: Spotlight on Confessions of a Stay-At-Home Mom

Confessions of a Stay-At-Home Mom

moderndaydonnareed(at)gmail(dot)com

Hi. I'm Steph. 1 year ago, I plunged into the uncertainty of Motherhood. This journey took me into the realm of Stay-At-Homeness, a new and scary place. My new employer, Lucy, is demanding. Feed! Change! Walk! Play! Feed again! All these deadlines, but no given schedule.

She's rough, but offers great on-the-job training.

I'm continually learning what it means to be a parent. It has been hard, but full of joy. It fills me with insecurity yet courage. It's wreaked havoc on my body. It has tried my emotions. It energizes me. It makes me laugh. A lot. Just when I thought I had the "baby" part down, she went and became a Toddler, and now we are back at square one.

I enjoy many things: Cooking. Baking. Hiking. Laughing. Child-rearing. My Family. Good, Faithful Friends. Shopping. Thinking. The Autumn. 30 Rock. The Smell of Home Depot.

Oh. And blogging.

I stumbled across this crazy thing called blogging several months ago. So, I'd say I'm pretty new. It started as an outlet for my thoughts as a new Mom, a place to confess my misgivings and screw ups, to catalog my recipes, share my journey to become more Green and earth-friendly, and to be frugal. The further I dare to adventure into blogging, the bigger my world becomes! My blog (and blogging) is pretty simple. Who knows, maybe one of these days I'll stumble upon jazzing it up. But, for now, it's a simple blog for a not-so-simple girl.

I've been graciously given the opportunity to blog not only here, but for the West Chester Grower's Market as well. With my passion for my town, building community, endeavoring into the realm of being more Green, and Buy Fresh/Buy Local, it has been a great gift and a LOT of fun.

I look forward to continuing my chronicles as a baking-cooking-hiking-laughing-green Wife/Mother. I hope to hone my writing skills, and become a better wordsmith. For those of you who stop by, thanks for your camaraderie. I can only ask that you give me grace as you realize I don't have it all together, but I've become adept at picking up the pieces.

Hey, we're all in this together, right?

I would love to expand my blogging horizons. Whether it be product reviews or giveaways, I am open to opportunities. If you'd like more info about me, check my profile and contact me (moderndaydonnareed@gmail.com).

  1. Love your spotlight post today!! It's all relatable... I'm right there with you in the whole baby/toddler thing. Right when you've got it figured out...uhmm, something else pops up.

I would also love to grow in all areas mentioned... and Steph, "I give you grace" (as you asked) because the Lord knows that I need it much, myself. So, If I need it then other's must too.

  2. Read on as we share particulars about this fantastic phone!

Every thing that works prior to jailbreaking carries on to function after.
Its performance is definitively not disappointing throughout our preliminary testing.

  3. Remember that the Windows RT is really a different os than Windows 8 Expert.

It is super easy to utilize Facebook advertising.
It would seem that all Windows customers and Microsoft aren't
    out from the water however.
