We're a little over the mid-way point of summer for most families, particularly here in Chester County. School begins in a little over a month, and while there is still time to do fun things, lots of parents are finding their "Bank of Activity Ideas" running dry. Many people know about the awesome $1 movies that Regal Cinemas offer on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. For those who don't know, it's legitimately $1 per person to see the two movies being offering that week. Read more about the Summer Movie Express here.
We are lucky to have a shopping center that offers both a Regal Cinema AND an A.C. Moore. Why is this important?
A.C Moore hosts Summer Fun Wednesdays each week through August 12. What is Summer Fun Wednesdays? Each A.C. Moore is offering a summer-long schedule of FREE "Make & Take" arts and crafts activities for children ages 4–12 from 1pm-3pm. These activities include things from tie-dying and duct tape projects to bracelet making and more!
So if you are in the Downingtown area, you can hit up Regal Cinemas each Wednesday at 10am, enjoy a picnic lunch at Kerr Park, then head to A.C. Moore at 1pm for a free make-and-take craft. If you want to be a "big spender" you could treat yourself to a tasty lunch at Wegmans.
That's an entire day of fun for $1 per person!
