Local Flavor: Chaddsford Winery

Hubby and I do not get to go out as often as we'd like to. We have a beautiful toddler, and can only relinquish her so often to the welcoming hands of grandparents. Recently, Hubby surprised me with a date to a fun Local venue that happened to be having festivities of their own that day. Since I love all things local, this was the perfect way to spend a lazy Saturday. Paired with cheese, wine and Jazz, it was even better! This Local Flavor is worth checking out...

Local Flavor

I've been a fan of Chaddsford Winery for a while. Their wine is exquisite, and easily obtained locally. Hubby and I talked often of going to tour their facilities, but we just never had the time. When Hubby surprised me with a fun day at the Winery, I was excited to check things out.

We visited the Winery over Labor Day weekend during their Jazz Festival, which was sponsored by Brandywine River Nursery. Hubby and I brought our lunch (although we had the option to eat a catered lunch from Pace One). The music was great, and we got to sample several wines as we toured the winery. One of the vendors, Cabot Cheese, also had a booth. We stopped by for some cheese and got some good info on their products!

Chaddsford Wine is a great local treasure. Any day (except holidays) between the hours of 12pm and 6pm, you can come to tour the winery and taste the current offerings. I think this is a great way to spend a day with your spouse, family or friends. Need a girls night out? Why not try something different and head over to the Winery? They do private parties and tastings as well.

For more info, go to the Chaddsford Winery Website.

UPCOMING EVENT: If you are looking for something to do THIS WEEKEND and NEXT WEEKEND, Chaddsford Winery will be participating in the Brandywine Harvest Festival, sponsored by the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail. For $25, you are entitled to visit all eight member wineries in southern Chester County for tastings, concerts, picnics, hayrides, vineyard tours, art exhibits, grape picking, and many other special events.

Sometimes, we need to break out of the monotony, and try something new and exciting. Checking out local venues is adventurous and supportive to local economy!

Here's to NEW, EXCITING and LOCAL!

Have a great weekend!

  1. I love the Chaddsford Winery! Have you seen the sip and stay packages that local B&B's have? I thought that would be great for a special anniversary weekend.

  2. People doesn't want to carry cash for shopping, carrying a card is equivalent to cash for shopping pay day uk unsecured unsecured loans are often could possibly be cheaper compared to the bank cards because bank cards may have very high fees and rates for cash advances.
