What "thing" am I talking about, might you ask? I'm not really sure. This thing called Life I guess. But either way, it spurs me on, encouraging and motivating me to post.
On this journey, I've fallen off the blog wagon a few times. All with good reason. My most recent impromptu respite has been this Summer. Despite making several efforts to jump back on, I've fallen by the wayside during this summer season. I explained this in a pitiful post several weeks ago: We bought a house. We moved. We moved 30 minutes from "home." I found out I was pregnant with #2. Slightly unexpectedly. Then, My Nana had a stroke. I was in the hospital for 3 days with head pains and a fever. My grandfather passed away. 5 days later, my Nana passed away.
Needless to say, it's been a long, trying Summer. And although it is hard, I know this hard stuff makes me stronger. It doesn't make it easier, though. And it definitely doesn't make it easier to blog!
But now, life is heading back to normal. Hubby went back to work today (he's a teacher - and this week is inservice week before the students come back). So I'm faced with remembering how to be a stay-at-home mom again. What did I DO all day long? I momentarily panicked last night as he got ready for school. How did I DO this by myself?
Then I remembered: playdates...storytime...running errands...playing and reading and playing some more...playgrounds...baking...
...oh yeah...and BLOGGING.
So I feel that with the ushering in of the school year, and my life returning to the comforting routine it was once used to, I find myself missing my blog. I miss posting recipes. And sharing parenting mishaps. And bragging on all the awesome local things there are to love around here.
I can't make promises, as I know I've said this 1,000 times before. But check back on this blog. I just might start posting again.
Have a good week!
