This Week's Soundtrack

For reasons unbeknownst even to myself, I've been channeling the 90's for the past few weeks. NO, for goodness sakes, NOT in FASHION. In music. I don't think I could ever go back to the puffy bangs, black leggings, Billabong tee-shirts and grungy flannels again if I could.

Unless someone paid me.

Anywho, I'm not sure what brought about this sudden wistful nostalgia for 90's music. Maybe it was coming across my mixed cassette tapes (don't even TRY to tell me you didn't make them), or maybe it is because I've been listening to 104.5 A LOT (it's one of the few decent stations in the Philly Area since Y100. Don't fight it. You miss Y100 too).

But whatever the reason, I have come to this essential truth in my life: I love 90's music. I can't escape it. And I won't apologize. If there was one era in music that I could be stuck in for the rest of my life, it would be there. And I'd be happy. For all eternity.

So these are the songs that have been bringing joy to my heart this week (one or 2 are still on here from last time)...

  1. Don't like Sporcle. If I want to waste time, I prefer silly games on facebook, I have to admit.

I would be stuck in the 80's... I think it is prob. a question of when you were a teen, and music seemed bigger, more important, and hooked to lots of memories. No? Although I love "I saw the sign" and it is now stuck in my head for the night.

I heard Storm Front by Billy Joel at a party today. I had missed it a lot. Boy, do I feel old!
